Botox in Istanbul

Botox in Istanbul

“My forehead has started to show” covers at least four different faces. The lines may appear only when the brows lift. They may already be etched in at rest. The brow may sit low, so the real request is a lift rather than a smoother forehead. Or the lines that actually bother her may be at the outer eye, and the forehead was just the word she had. Diamond Clinic in Maslak plans Botox for women around that difference. We do not sell a fixed unit count, and we do not promise a face that cannot move. The usual aim is to quiet a muscle that is creasing the skin, while leaving enough expression that a photograph still looks like the same person.

If a line is carved into the skin while the face is at rest, Botox alone will not erase it. That is said before the appointment, not after the invoice.

It works on the muscle, not on the skin

Botox is a trade name that has stuck to a group of products which temporarily reduce the signal from a nerve to a small muscle. In the face, the muscles that matter for most women are the ones that pull the brows together, the one that lifts the forehead into horizontal lines, and the ones that crease the outer eye when she smiles. When the muscle softens, the skin above it folds less. That is why a line made by movement eases over several days, while a deep line present at rest may only soften, or may need a different conversation entirely.

Botox is not filler. It will not enlarge a lip, rebuild a cheek, or change a nose. A request for “Botox in the cheeks” is usually a request for filler, and mixing the names wastes the visit. A request for glow and hydration, with no change in shape, belongs with skin boosters, not with a muscle relaxant.

Forehead, frown, and the outer eye

The frown between the brows is one of the clearest requests, because the line reads as irritation even when she is calm. Softening that muscle changes the impression more than a general “smoothing”. The forehead is harder. The muscle that makes the horizontal lines is the same muscle that holds the brow up. Relax it too hard in a woman whose brows are already low and the brow feels heavy and the lid looks smaller, which is the opposite of what she asked for. A forehead is not planned separately from the brow position.

Crow’s feet matter to women who smile hard and see the lines in every side photograph. Softening them should leave a smile. A completely uncreased outer eye can look younger at rest and strangely flat when she laughs. We ask which of those she actually wants. They are not the same dose.

A small brow lift is possible in some faces by relaxing the muscle that pulls the brow down. It is not a surgical lift, and it will not open an eye covered by spare lid skin. If the lid itself is heavy, injecting the forehead can make the heaviness worse. That disappointment is common enough to deserve a plain sentence in the consultation: Botox will not lift this lid.

Why a friend’s units are not a prescription

A unit measures activity of a product, not a millimetre of face. A strong muscle, a wide forehead, previous treatment, and a different brow shape all change the number. Two brands are not swapped unit-for-unit as if they were the same spoon. A woman who opens with “I take thirty because my friend takes thirty” is asked to raise her brows, frown, and smile. The movement is the plan. The number from someone else’s appointment is not.

We also do not add units so the treatment “shows” before she leaves the room. The effect is not finished in the clinic. People who want instant proof ask for more too early, and early extra units are the short path to a forehead that will not move and a brow that drops.

When it starts, when to judge it, when it fades

Movement usually begins to quiet between day three and day five, not in the hour of injection. The result worth judging sits closer to day ten or day fourteen. Before that, one brow can look higher because one muscle responded faster. That is not the final result. A useful review is at two weeks if extra movement or heaviness remains outside what was agreed. A review the next morning mostly photographs a face that has not started yet.

The effect is temporary. For many women movement returns gradually over about three to four months. Faster metabolisms, heavy training, and irregular spacing can shorten that. Some last longer. There is no guaranteed month. If Botox is being timed to a wedding season or a yearly shoot, the session belongs at least two weeks before the event, not on the way to it.

Who should wait

Pregnancy and breastfeeding are enough reason to postpone. So is a skin infection at the injection site, a neuromuscular condition that changes the clinician’s decision, and a known allergy to the product. Some antibiotics and other medicines can change the effect. They are mentioned in the consultation. They are not stopped because an article sounded cautious. Blood thinners make a bruise more likely. That is a medical decision, not a beauty one.

We do not inject through inflamed skin, and we do not treat “a small trial the night before I fly” as a plan. A first treatment is calmer when a two-week review is possible, either in person or with photographs of the same movements. Flying the next morning is reasonable for many quiet cases. It is a different decision from flying the morning after a swollen lip.

The hours after treatment

Stay upright for about four hours. Do not sleep on the face or press the injected sites during that window. Hard exercise, sauna heat, and alcohol are usually left until the next day, because heat and effort increase swelling and bruising. Rubbing the forehead hard to spread a cream, or a long gym session bent forward, is not a technicality. It is a way to move product that has not settled.

Makeup stays off the puncture points until you are told otherwise. A mild headache or a heavy feeling in the brow on day one is common. A small bruise is possible, especially around the eye where the skin is thin. None of that is the result. The result is how the forehead moves at two weeks.

Do not massage the area “so it spreads” unless you were explicitly told to, which is unusual in a standard forehead plan. Do not judge a hotel-bathroom photograph at six hours and book a second clinic the same day.

Heaviness, brows, and a face that has stopped

The complaint we hear after an overtreated forehead is not the bruise. It is “my forehead will not move and my eyes look smaller”. That happens when the brow-lifting muscle is relaxed more than the lid can tolerate. The fix is not a syringe of filler under the brow the same week. The fix is a review with the person who injected, time for movement to return, and a smaller or differently placed plan next time. The product wears off. Several weeks of a heavy lid still matter if she is on camera, which is why a first dose should be conservative.

Most faces are slightly uneven before any injection. A magnified photograph afterwards makes that unevenness look new. A photograph before treatment, frowning and lifting the brows, is the fair comparison. Memory of the mirror is not.

Signs that should not wait until tomorrow

Difficulty swallowing or breathing, a lid that has dropped enough to cover vision, weakness that does not feel like ordinary brow heaviness, a severe headache unlike her usual one, or a widespread rash, needs urgent contact. A needle sting and a pin-point of redness do not. If you are unsure, call. The number is +90 506 031 62 86.

Fitting it into a trip

Botox is one of the few face treatments that can sit inside a short Istanbul trip, provided the event is not on day three while the effect is only starting. A sensible shape is arrival, assessment the next day when she is rested, treatment if the plan is clear, and a departure only after she knows what a day-fourteen photograph should show. Staying two weeks makes an in-person review easy. Leaving in forty-eight hours is acceptable when the photo review is agreed in advance.

A first Botox session and a lip filler on the morning of a flight home is a bad combination if the evening holds family photographs. Filler has a different bruise calendar. The two can share a trip when the schedule is loose and the goal is specific, not because the calendar ran out.

What the fee covers

Cost follows the areas, the number of units, the product, and whether a first visit needs a longer assessment. A flat “full Botox” price with no look at how the face moves is an incomplete offer, because forehead, frown, and crow’s feet are not one recipe. Ask what happens if a small adjustment is needed at two weeks, and whether that visit is included. This page does not publish a fixed price. Two women on the same day may not have the same plan.

Before you agree

  • Which line bothers you in movement, and which line is still there at rest?
  • Does the brow sit low, and does the lid feel heavy by the end of the day?
  • When was the last session, and which product if you know it?
  • Is there pregnancy, breastfeeding, a relevant medicine, or a neuromuscular condition?
  • What is the next event, and how many days after treatment does it fall?
  • What will you do if one brow feels heavier on day four, before the effect has settled?

A professional answer names a muscle, warns about brow heaviness when it is likely, and sets a judgement date around two weeks. “It will look natural and you will see it in an hour” is not enough to book a flight around.

How to start

Send one photograph at rest, one with the brows lifted, and one with a light frown, plus a sentence on what you want softened and what you do not want frozen. We will say whether Botox is the tool, or whether the line needs a filler conversation, or whether it should be left. Use the contact page or book an appointment, or call +90 506 031 62 86. Monday to Saturday, 08:00–18:00, Maslak, Istanbul.

This is a general account of how forehead and eye-area Botox is planned at Diamond Clinic. It does not replace an assessment by the person who would inject, and it promises neither a result nor a duration. Dose and placement are individual.
